Operator: Femboy Cyber Networks LLC (“we”, “us”) operates socks.cat, an anonymous prepaid proxy service.
What we do not collect at signup
We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, or other identity documents. A self-serve account is created from a one-time signup nonce and returns a whisker key shown once. If you lose your whisker, we cannot recover your account.
What we store
To operate the service we store:

What we do not log
We do not write per-connection destination hostnames, URLs, or DNS queries to our database. purroute may emit ephemeral debug lines to an operator console when verbose logging is enabled; that is not a customer-facing retention system.
Cookies
We set one first-party HttpOnly session cookie (sc_whisker) when you log in to the account dashboard. We do not use third-party analytics or advertising trackers.
Crypto payments
Top-ups use public blockchains (Bitcoin, Monero, Ethereum, Litecoin). Transaction IDs and amounts are visible on-chain and in our payment table to credit your balance.
Third parties
- Upstream proxy providers — your traffic exits through their networks according to your routing selection.
- Hosting and infrastructure — servers that run purroute, the API, and this website.
We choose providers for reliability; their policies apply to traffic they carry.
Retention
Account and payment records are kept while the account exists and for a reasonable operational period afterward. Unfunded new accounts may be removed after 24 hours (see pricing). We do not offer identity-based erasure requests because we do not verify identity; abandoning an account means losing the whisker.
